We Massage - Massage Review from Ashburn, Virginia

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I will be quite honest. We massage has brought clients to my front door due to their bad business practices. #1 cheap massage doesnt mean good massage. #2. Some of their therapists arent licensed from what ive been told by some clients. Hello, this is why the massages are super cheap. #3 Take the time to look for qualified therapists in your area. The old saying you get what you pay for is super true.

I never got a massage!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a voucher from groupon thinking that I'd get a massage for 2 for $40 and 60 minutes. Well that was not the case, I still had to pay more when I booked the massage, I said to myself, okay that is fine, it's still a discount. I quickly booked for two masseuse for the next week. They only booked one so I cancelled and they told me that if I wanted two then I should have booked further in advance. So I booked again about 3 weeks ahead of time. Once again they only booked me for one so I cancelled and rebooked again. This time TWO MONTHS in advance. They then tell me about a month after booking that the lady cannot do in house massages and ask if I am willing to go to the actual place, so I agree because it's not too far from my house. The day before my massage happens, We Massage messages and and says that the lady will not massage two of us! BUT YET they confirmed with me that she could!! The worst part is that you can only email these people. There is no phone to access them. After the 3rd time of booking, I asked for a refund and they did not respond to my messages. I wrote them at least 4 times a week for a month and a half complaining how they had stolen my money. They still would not reply! I emailed them from a different email to see if they would reply and they did, the same day! They literally ignored all of my emails because they did not want to give me a refund. I ended up going off on them from my separate email and they eventually gave me my refund at the end of the week. I still lost $40 though because I bought their *** voucher from Groupon. I warn you all, DO NOT book with We Massage, they will trap you and you will not get what you want.

I called Groupon, yesterday. It took some arguing, but they refunded my money back to me since the company would not accommodate my requests.

I had the same issues, you did.

Call Groupon and tell them you want the fund put back on your card, and you will escalate the issue or file a complaint with the BBB if they don't refund what was paid.

Hope this helps!

We Massage Deep Tissue Massage Review

My experience was ok but I did not like the fact that when you select "spa" it was at a persons home. When you select Spa, most assume it means a facility of some sort. The masseuse I had was very professional and overall I had a good experience. I had Yubisley and his home was very clean and professional environment.

We Massage In-home Massages Coupon Review from San Francisco, California

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a Groupon coupon for 6 in-home massages for my husband and I. I gave We Massage several dates (via email to their customer service people as well as their scheduling feature in their website) with at least 10 days advanced notice to schedule an in-home massage for us. For each request I made (I made 3 requests in all), I received a notice from We Massage saying they were unable to find a therapist for me. Even with a choice of several suggested dates and suggested times for each request with plenty of advanced notice, not one therapist was found in all the choices of dates/times I gave them. This leads me to believe that We Massage's "in-home" massage service does not exist and is just a scam to attract more customers and get your money. I wrote to We Massage complaining about the service but I received no answer as to why they are unable to accommodate my requests. The only reply I received was "We're sorry", and an email asking me to reschedule. I cancelled my Groupon coupon. For all prospective customers. DO NOT USE We Massage. They are a second-rate company with no professionalism, with false promises and false advertisements.

How are these people getting away with this? In the fine print it also says $10 additional for a licensed or certified MT.

I'm sorry but it the US most all states require that therapist be licenced or certified organic registered.

Hmmmmm sounds like a big scam to me or a way for them to run illegal massage. The ABMP should look into this.

Don't Waste Your Time!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a Groupon offer for an in-home massage with this company because I was in severe pain and needed help quickly. It was only after the purchase that I found out they had no openings for over a week in the future, so I made an appointment at the first available opening. Over the next 1-1/2 weeks, I received a few emails from them telling me that they had not been able to find a therapist and would I please choose another date yet ANOTHER 1-2 WEEKS in the future! I emailed them and called and left voice messages without any response, except to get more fo these emails asking me to schedule further out. So I emailed and left more voice messages - and received NOT ONE reply from them, until the eventual day of my supposed appointment when they sent me another blasted automated email to reschedule. As a last resort, I finally sent an email to them threatening to seek legal action for false advertising and fraudulent practices. THAT got an almost instant response! (of course). As soon as I sent that email to them, I found the phone number for Groupon and told them my problem. They were wonderful! They refunded my money (even though it was way past the 3 days they normally allow), and said they would be looking into this complaint. While on the phone with Groupon, I received a response to my threatening email to wemassage.ca. The ONLY thing they were interested in, of course, was their reputation and 'hoped' I would not cause them any problems. Ummm, too late. So, if you have the chance to use wemassage.ca to book a massage - don't. Make an appointment with your local massage therapist instead, especially if you are in pain. This is a company I would not ever recommend, for any reason.

Review in Beauty Centers and Spas category from Las Vegas, Nevada

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In Las Vegas, WeMassage pays the Licensed & Insured Therapist $40 for 1 hour & $60/90 minutes. Looks decent on paper but it's not! Severely low pay for an educated, experienced therapist providing the luxury of in home massage. I know a few highly skilled, amazing therapist's that contract with them, so don't think they don't exist. Yes, apparently, WeMassage tacks on a travel fee, a service charge, extra charge if a specific therapist is requested AND charge if client needs receipt for insurance, even though it's the therapist that provides it!!! Possibly still a good deal for the client? I don't know, but all those fees are not going to the therapist. As a consumer, I prefer the bulk of the money I spend goes to the therapist & knowing it doesn't is disturbing. The therapist has free will to work with WeMassage, they're not employees but contracted by WeMassage, I get that. But, knowing they're getting the short end of the stick and I got a good deal, I TIP my therapist at least $20! All communication with WeMassage is email & I find they appear to have no available appointments often but why can't they at least put it on their schedule & see if one of their therapist's can take it? I don't know... opinions are like (you know) & everybody's got one...

We Massage Groupon Massage Coupon Review from Winnipeg, Manitoba

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been trying for over a month to book an appointment. I purchased a groupon for 6 massages.

I have tried to book daytime, evening and even weekend appointments without success. I have even but in the comment section that I am avaliable any time during the day or evening. This company doesn't respond to questions or comments. I am in the process of trying to get my money back from groupon.

From the comments on this site even if someone does get a massage it doesn't seem like it was worth it. I guess this groupon was too good to be true.

I think this is what this company wants us to do give up. It looks like this was a scam, hopefully Groupon sees these reviews and does something about this company.

EXPECT TO BE FLEECED

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

this is a booking SERVICE that then hires professional therapists telling them the fee is $80 per hour, which is the low end of the standard for a legitimate LMT/RMT in most cities to make the trip to your home lugging their equipment, set up, provide an excellent hour massage, and then take it all with them and drive to the next. The therapist has all the work, the insurance liability cost, extra time for driving and laundry, and so on.

WeMassage is just a BOOKING COMPANY that sells massage time but because they undercut pricing so dramatically to make the sales they cannot find quality therapists willing to do the work for what little of the fee is actually paid to the therapists--who are taking ALL the risk and doing ALL the work.

BOTTOM LINE: EXPECT YOUR GREED TO GET YOU BURNED. Just Google a good therapist (or use ABMP.COM to find a licensed, insured pro) in your area and treat them well for the hard work they do for you.

As a therapist, I came on with WeMassage over a year ago. Yes, they told us the contract rate was $80 / hour, but then informed us that they were running a Groupon promotion, so that hourly rate is cut in half.

It isn't worth my time to provide mobile service for such a price; and many of the groupon clients don't bother tipping. I since moved on to my own private clients to make double and triple what I was making with WeMassage. My clients appreciate my work, and I in turn appreciate their loyalty.

This is what the company is missing. You nailed the problem perfectly.

We Massage - Review in Beauty Centers and Spas category from Bouckville, New York

It IS extremely low pay. Packing up and setting up twice is 30 of time plus travel.

I went to one place that was looking for 2 therapist. It was not in the area advertised. It was a rusty trailer very old. It was in the middle of no where.

no phone service. It had a long drive way, burned out buildings along the way. There was no room for 1 therapist much less two. I went because the money was excellent.

there is no way they could have afforded it. I had a bad feeling driving out. Which I tried to dismiss. I'm not a nervous person normally.

When I got there and saw the place I left. I was very shaken. I truly feel like I would not of come out alive. I let the company know on the emergency number.

No one ever got back to me and I see he is still looking. Super scary

We Massage Groupon Massage Coupon Review from Mobile, Alabama

I purchased 4 in-home massages with We Massage through Groupon for $69. I have tried twice to book a massage and twice been told that they are unable to book and to reschedule. I wrote in my notes on their website that I was available most days and still have not been able to book. I see that this company has many complaints against it. I wish I knew this before booking, but I trusted Groupon to do their homework. I now plan to contact Groupon to see if I can get my money back. If not, I plan to file with the Better Business Bureau and I will never buy another thing from Groupon.

Cheating company, wasted time and money

I purchased a groupon for the in-house couple massage. For myself and my husband.

Sounded like a great deal. However, it never happened! They could not send anyone to my home, though the schedule was in tact! Terrible management.

Seems like this company is just collecting money to benefit of this free loan.

So, here we are waiting for the therapists, but about few hours before that appointment I get an email - they could not find a therapist. Scheduling was long enough to get it done, and if you can't, don't sell the services, for you disappoint people and prove you unprofessionalism.

Outcall massage therapist are only offered $35 for the out call massage. That's unthinkable when an outcall massage ranges from $85-$200 an hour, depending on the therapist's values and self worth.

Lugging a massage table, driving to the client's home, setting up, unpacking and repacking, doing the massage, and collecting a very small fee is not enticing for only $35. If you want a quality outcall massage, you have to pay the outcall prices. You get what you pay for.

Plus, Groupon clients rarely rebook. Would you pay $120 for another in home massage?

Booking company ONLY

This is not a massage company.. this is a booking company only.. Someone had the bright idea to sell massage therapy sessions at a big discount through Groupon and then hire massage therapists to do the work.. This company has no knowledge of being a massage therapist or how to run a massage therapy business, only thing they do is sell under price "massage appointments" and then try to hire a legit therapist to perform the work.. most people who purchase their "great deal" end up losing their money because WeMassage can not find a therapist in that person's area to do the work so the appointment is repeatedly canceled until the Groupon expires and the customer can not get a refund.. Please contact a local massage therapist yourself and cut out the middle man who is under selling and devaluing the massage therapy field.
